Boars Tye is a 3 Star (Excellent) residential care home specialising in care for those with and without Dementia, including Palliative care, in the village of Silver End, between Braintree and Witham, Essex.

At our residential care home we will do everything possible to make sure that you are not only cared for, but that you enjoy improved health, have peace of mind and build friendships with others.

Our guests (residents) and their families believe that our standard of care is excellent (read our testimonials); the Care Quality Commission, CQC (the independent body that regulates and inspects all care homes in England) has endorsed that view by giving us the top rating of 3 Stars (Excellent) in August 2009, making us one of the best residential care homes in the area.

Boars Tye Residential Home Ltd

Following advice from our accountants we commenced trading as Boars Tye Residential Home Ltd, rather than Boars Tye Residential Home, on 01 April 2013. This decision has only been taken because it will be beneficial for tax purposes. In practice, ownership of the company will remain solely in the hands of Mr & Mrs Weir who will become the Directors owning 100% of the shares. Any financial benefits that arise from this decision will be reinvested in the care of Residents and staff wages.
When searching for Boars Tye under the CQC website you may find they record that we have not been inspected, but that will be because they are referring to the new Ltd. Company. You will still be able to find our previous inspection reports, the last of which was on 10 October 2012, which are completely relevant because we have not changed any operational practice.

Trip To Maldon 20/08/2012.

A day out in Maldon 20/08/2012.

Staff often arrange days out for the residents. These pictures are from a day trip to Maldon, the staff and residents walked along the promenade, had ice-cream by the river and saw the boats. The weather was lovely too!

Here are a selection of photo’s taken at the fete held at Boars Tye house, the day was a great success. There were the Witham Twirlettes and Big Mark performing for us during the course of the afternoon. Tombola, Brick ‘a’ Brack, Raffle, jeweler y  face painting and henna tattoo’s were just some of the stall’s at the fete. We would like to thank everyone for helping with the fete and everyone had a wonderful day.
